Rural Northwest Health welcomes three new nurses to the 2024 Transition to Practice Program.
Our Graduates Sandi Hawkes, Shelly Carter, and Zawadi Muhindo started in February and have completed their first 2 weeks orientation. They are being supported by the Education team and have been welcomed to their first rotations in Yarriambiack Lodge and Acute Ward in Warracknabeal.
Shelly comes to RNH after completing her Diploma of Nursing. Previously working with RNH’s Community Care Team before commencing her graduate year as an enrolled nurse, Shelly has a strong passion for Residential Aged Care and hopes to make a difference by caring for our ageing population.
Sandi has returned to RNH after enjoying her previous enrolled nursing agency contract in Yarri Lodge. Sandi has completed her Bachelor of Nursing after being an Enrolled Nurse for many years. Sandi has a background in rural remote nursing with years of experience in dialysis and is looking forward to expanding her knowledge and skills as a registered nurse.
Zawadi comes to RNH from Melbourne after completing her Bachelor of Nursing. Zawadi chose RNH as she has an interest in rural nursing. Zawadi is eager to develop her knowledge and skills in the supportive environment at RNH.
The RNH Clinical Team are thrilled to have three graduate nurses commencing their careers at Rural Northwest Health.
Please make them feel welcome if you see them in the community.
