The outstanding partnership that has driven the YCHANGe program has been recognised nationally by the Heart Foundation.
The foundation had initially declared Yarriambiack Shire winner of the state award in Recognising Healthy Communities at its Local Government Awards. But when Heart Foundation Victoria Active Communities coordinator Lisa Speirs came to Warracknabeal to present the award, she announced the shire had won the national award.

Rural Northwest Health has scooped the pool in aged care notoriety after winning the major title at the Victorian Healthcare Awards.
The small rural service won the public sector excellence in aged care award for its exclusive ABLE model of care and the extension of its memory support nurse. The award was open to every public aged care service in Victoria and it comes on the back of another state award. Just over a fortnight ago, Rural Northwest Health was announced the winners of Employer Excellence in Aged Care at Victoria’s Regional Achievement and Community Awards.

Rural Northwest Health has topped its cache of awards after being announced the Premier’s Small Health Service of the Year.
Minister for Health Jill Hennessy presented the award to RNH CEO Catherine Morley and board chairman Leo Casey during a gala ceremony for the 2015 Victorian Public Healthcare Awards at the MCG. The award is the highest recognition achievable for the RNH team.
