Our Hopetoun residents’ toes were a-tappin’ to the vocal stylings of singer-songwriter Maurice Conway on Monday.
A Hopetoun local, Maurice sang songs about local towns and people the residents knew.
His visit was made even more special as he brought a leather belt that resident Frank White had given him as a boy – over 60 years ago.
The exceptionally detailed belt even featured his name.
All marvelled at the handiwork, with Maurice joking that his only complaint was that Frank “didn’t make it long enough”.
The residents look forward to welcoming Maurice again soon.
