Celebrated on the first Wednesday in February, Primary Health Care Nurses Day celebrates the amazing work that nurses do outside of the hospital setting; from aged care to community nursing, general practice, custodial, schools and a range of other primary health care settings.
Focusing on “Treating the whole person, not just the hole in the person”, the 2025 campaign invites everyone to wear vibrant primary colours (red, blue, yellow) to symbolise their gratitude for all that these amazing nurses do.
“Primary Health Care Nurses at RNH Community Services are doing incredible work across a broad range of areas,” Executive Manager Community Services Paula Noble said.
“They play a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of individuals in the community by providing specialised care in so many different fields – whether supporting people with chronic conditions, assisting with cancer care, managing diabetes, or advancing wellness initiatives, their impact is truly immeasurable,” she said.
“Their ability to adapt to various settings and roles, from intake and assessments to more specialised areas like respiratory health and movement disorders, is a testament to their dedication and versatility.”
For RNH Community Services we have Primary Health Care Nurses filling roles of:
