RNH was recently excited to learn that four of its aged care facilities were successful in receiving funding to increase the availability of residents’ access to telehealth.
Under the Telehealth Small Grant for Residential Aged Care Homes Program, Hopetoun Hostel, Yarriambiack Hostel, and Hopetoun Nursing Home each received $3908.83 to purchase a laptop and monitor, a laptop cart, and an iPad.
Yarriambiack Nursing Home received the same funding to purchase two laptop carts and an iPad.
Supporting aged care residents to have access to telehealth consultation with primary health care professionals, emergency departments, hospitals, specialists, and allied health, the grants were established in response to the Australian Government’s response to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety.
Executive Manager Clinical Services Joseph Bermudo wishes to thank the Western Victoria Primary Health Network for approving the grant application.
