Rural Northwest Health has opportunities for suitably qualified people to join the Leisure and Lifestyle team at the Warracknabeal and Hopetoun campuses.
Suitable candidates will be passionate about working for the elderly by providing fun and meaningful recreational activities and programs, with a focus on promoting residents’ emotional, spiritual and psychological wellbeing and connectedness to the community.
About you:
- Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care or similar or working towards relevant qualification.
- Passion for working with older persons and/or people living with cognitive impairment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering a range of activities that promote purpose, dignity and meaning for participants.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively autonomously and within a team environment.
- Demonstrated proactive learner and contributor to improvement activities.
- Current Level 2 First Aid certificate, or willing to obtain.
- Current Victorian driver’s licence.
- Current Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- Immunisation history
Preferred:
- Bus licence.
- Experience providing services to people living with dementia.
- Contemporary generalist knowledge and experience of older persons’ care.
