Rural Northwest Health is thrilled that its Home Support Program (HSP), recently celebrating one year of operation within the organisation, has continued to go from strength to strength.
HSP Coordinator Alanah Lehmann said despite services having a staggered start during the initial transition from Yarriambiack Shire to Rural Northwest Health, and challenges with funding and demand seeing some services paused, she is pleased with how the service is now operating.
“The program consists of meals on wheels, meal vouchers, home modification, domestic assistance, personal care, social support individual, and in-home respite,” she said.
“Having this program within RNH has made it simple for our clients to receive a streamlined service as our multidisciplinary teams are able to directly communicate with them to ensure they achieve the best possible outcomes.”
With several fantastic initiatives in the pipeline, including a home maintenance program and volunteer transport, there can be no doubt that the service will continue to strengthen further as the years progress.
