Our Hopetoun residents weren’t horsing around when they visited the Mallee Machinery Field Days at Speed on Thursday.
Kindly welcomed by Speed Lions Club to drive around the two outer rings of the event, the residents marvelled at not only the overwhelming volume of farm machinery, but also the sheer size of some of the equipment.
Taking a brief break, the residents were amused by the police horse, badge and all, which popped its head through the window of the bus to say hello (or should that be hay?) and soak up some pats.
Chatting with the officers, including Hopetoun Sergeant Michelle and Speed’s Nathan, as well as some of their families, the residents had a memorable day in the beautiful Mallee sunshine, even managing to collect some hats as they made their way around the grounds.
