Yarriambiack region My Aged Care clients who have patiently sat on the waiting list for gardening and maintenance services will be excited to learn that Rural Northwest Health’s new Home Maintenance program is set to launch later this month.
Home Support Coordinator Alannah Lehmann said an exciting bonus of the new program is that the work will all be completed by Rural Northwest Health maintenance teams.
“Having our teams provide the home maintenance service will not only make it faster for our clients to receive their service but we will also be able to prioritise our clients, unlike other organisations where the clients is required to work in with the contractors’ existing client base,” she said.
Further, the use of existing maintenance teams will reduce external costs associated with contracting which, in turn, will increase the funding available for clients to access services.
“We are both proud and dedicated to keeping services local where possible,” Alannah said.
