Our Hopetoun residents have been keeping their hands and minds active over the past fortnight as they enjoyed a range of activities including cooking and craft.
Whipping up a batch of resident Betty Turnbull’s “Thrifties” (Milo biscuits) was the first order of business and, we’re told, there were plenty of eager taste testers on hand.
Last week the craft group got busy creating a loveliness of ladybirds – don’t they look wonderful?
And, on Tuesday, the years simply melted away when Hopetoun P-12 students visited our residents.
Chatting with the residents as part of a school project to write a profile of their chosen person, commonalities between the older and younger generations were quickly discovered and anyone who had started out as a stranger soon became a friend.
