Rural Northwest Health Movement Disorder Nurse, Lou Bellizzi, showcased her expertise as a featured speaker at the Australasian Neuroscience Nurses’ Association (ANNA) conference in Fremantle on November 10-11.
As a proud member of ANNA, Lou submitted a discussion highlighting the invaluable role of movement disorder nurses, with a specific focus on individuals dealing with multiple system atrophy. Her submission not only earned her a speaking slot but positioned her in front of 130 delegates hailing from Australia, New Zealand, and Indonesia, encompassing movement disorder nurses, neurosurgery nurses, and stroke nurses.
Lou describes the entire experience as “exceptionally rewarding,” receiving enthusiastic feedback from the engaged audience. She is eager to build on the connections made during the conference.
Adding to the excitement, ANNA’s movement disorder chapter was so impressed with Lou’s knowledge and insights that she has been invited to develop a self-directed learning package for her fellow nurses.
Cheers to Lou for a job well done!
