Rural Northwest Health is pleased to announce the significant progress made in recruitment efforts across our campuses.
At Yarriambiack Lodge, there are now just three agency nurses employed, a remarkable decrease from the previous numbers of agency staff engaged.
Most shifts have been successfully filled by permanent staff, who will positively impact both the quality of care provided and the local economy.
Executive Manager Clinical Services Joseph Bermudo said the reduced reliance on agency nurses will also contribute positively to RNH’s financial outcomes.
Additionally, RNH has increased the number of available beds at Yarriambiack Lodge from 45 to 48, all of which are now occupied. The aim is to fully open all of the Lodge’s 60 beds.
At our Hopetoun campus, we have welcomed several new team members and, while there are currently six agency nurses employed, this is a substantial improvement from the 14 agency nurses engaged in the past.
These developments reflect the organisation’s ongoing commitment to providing the best care possible to our communities.
