The Planned Activity Group (PAG) Assistant is responsible for participating in the delivery of engaging group activities at Rural Northwest Health campuses. The program supports community members to maintain and enhance their physical, social and emotional wellbeing. Alongside the Social Support Group Team Leader, this role will see you foster quality relationships with our consumers and team members, ensuring the successful delivery of a meaningful Social Support Program.
The successful candidate will have:
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Allied Health Assistant or equivalent, or working towards completion
- Genuine interest in working with older persons, or people with a disability
- Understanding of person-cantered care principles and Aged Care Quality Standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work within a team
- First aid certificate
- Driver’s licence
- Flu vaccination evidence
- Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one
- Current and valid Police Clearance, or willingness to obtain one
