Rural Northwest Health joined the statewide effort to improve sepsis care when (from left) Hopetoun Nurse Unit Manager Alison Fischer, Deputy Director of Nursing Deb Matricardi, and Quality and Risk Manager Odette Richards, attended the Adult Sepsis Collaborative in Melbourne on June 4 and 5.
Hosted by Safer Care Victoria (SCV), the event brought together health services from across the state to share insights, experiences, and strategies to improve outcomes for patients with sepsis.
Our team collaborated with clinical leaders and experts, contributing to critical discussions and planning innovative approaches for improving early identification and management of sepsis.
The event also marked the start of the SCV sepsis project, where participating health services will implement and test targeted changes within their local settings.
Rural Northwest Health is committed to driving meaningful improvement in patient care, and our participation in this statewide initiative reinforces our dedication to delivering safer, more effective treatment for our rural communities.
