We are pleased to announce that Philip Vuong has now been appointed to the Hopetoun Director of Nursing role permanently.
Commencing with RNH as the Acting Director of Nursing in December, Philip started his career in the healthcare sector over 20 years ago as an Assistant in Nursing while studying his Bachelor of Nursing. Soon after, he started a graduate program in Emergency at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. After 7 years of working in emergency, he felt burnt out but quickly became passionate in nursing again after working in a small rural costal town in Esperance WA.
From here on Philip has enjoyed working and living in small rural towns. He has managed facilities ranging from large clinics for Bechtel and Chervon for the Wheatstone Projects to managing rural hospitals in the Kimberly and southern parts of WA.
Outside of work, Philip enjoys playing around with engines, either replacing hardware components or software upgrades. He also loves the snow and travelling to Japan and New Zealand for short snowboarding trips. When he’s not at work, you’ll find him out walking the dogs, at the gym, or exploring nearby trails.
