Joseph Bermudo, RNH Executive Manager of Clinical Services, visited the vibrant city of Belfast in November, where he took part in an exhilarating international recruitment drive for registered nurses.
In collaboration with four Victorian public health sector services and the Victorian Department of Health, Joseph had the opportunity to engage with a diverse pool of highly qualified and talented registered nurses, remarking that the enthusiasm and interest displayed by the candidates was “truly commendable” and reflected the global appeal of Victoria’s healthcare sector and the positive reputation of the respective health services.
Some of the highlights of the drive included:
- The diverse talent pool: Joseph connected with a diverse range of candidates who brought a wealth of experience and skills from various international healthcare settings. Accepting several expressions of interest from over 100 engagements, Joseph is hopeful these will result in applicants for the various positions available at RNH.
- A positive reception: The Victorian delegation received a warm welcome with the attendees showing genuine interest in the opportunities available within the health services.
- Collaboration: The collaboration between the Department of Health and the four participating health services fostered a united approach, allowing Joseph and the services to present a unified front showcasing the strength of Victoria’s healthcare system.
Building on the success of the recruitment drive, Joseph is now dedicated to reaching out to the registered nurses who expressed interest in joining RNH. He will be coordinating interviews for the shortlisted candidates, ensuring the best fit for the teams, and guiding successful candidates through the necessary documentation and onboarding procedures for a seamless transition to Victoria.
In expressing his gratitude, Joseph said, “Thank you to each member of the team for their dedication and hard work in making this recruitment drive a success. The influx of talented nurses will undoubtedly contribute to the continued excellence of our healthcare services in Victoria, and I look forward to welcoming our new colleagues and further enhancing the healthcare landscape in Victoria.”
