End of summer celebrated at Lodge

Yarriambiack Lodge was alive with laughter and song last Friday when our residents celebrated the end of summer.
An unfortunate gastro outbreak in December forced the cancellation of the residents’ Christmas party, with Friday’s event the perfect chance for residents and their families to take time out and enjoy some music and camaraderie.
Hopetoun Nurse Unit Manager Alison Fischer entertained with an array of songs, keeping toes a-tappin’ as the residents sang along; some even accompanied Alison on instruments.
Welcoming around 15 family members, along with two of our new nursing trainees, the event was also an opportunity for our residents to say their goodbyes to Yarriambiack Lodge Nurse Unit Manager Allison Hondow, who is departing RNH on March 14.
The celebration culminated with a BBQ lunch, before moving into the residents’ and families’ meeting.
