A familiar face around Hopetoun, Rural Northwest Health Enrolled Nurse Poshak Baniya jumped at the chance to move into our new duplex precinct and establish a base for his family… all within a 30 second commute!
The first resident to move into our duplexes in December, Poshak, his wife Sushma, son Aarvik, and mother-in-law Sita are loving the precinct, having already made many friends.
No stranger to relocating for work, Poshak arrived in Hopetoun last year after stints in New South Wales, Yarra Glen, and Warracknabeal in the mental health and disability fields.
With Hopetoun marking Poshak’s second nursing role, he said he and his family are loving the precinct, and the town.
“We knew another couple who moved in, and our son has already made friends with the other children,” he said.
After learning it had been successful in receiving a Regional Worker Accommodation Fund grant, the planning and construction of the duplexes occurred in what felt like record-time, taking a total of just 10 months!
