International Women’s Day (IWD), celebrated annually on March 8, honours the achievements of women across all aspects of life – social, economic, cultural, and political – while also advocating for gender equality.
The 2025 theme “Accelerate Action” calls for all to step forward in solidarity, with data from the World Economic Forum stating that, at the current rate of progress, it will take until 2158 to reach full gender parity – roughly five generations from now.
