Last week, representatives from Rural Northwest Health’s (RNH) Allied Health, Nursing, Environmental Services, Finance, and Maintenance teams attended the Warracknabeal Secondary College Careers Day to present to the student group and chat with individuals about career opportunities.
This was a wonderful opportunity for RNH representatives to engage with the next generation of potential healthcare workers.
In line with the day’s theme of ‘Local Jobs for Local Kids’, each RNH participant shared insights on how to join RNH’s workforce, the development opportunities within their department, and the educational pathways to gain required qualifications.
RNH CEO, Lois O’Callaghan, said this was a valuable opportunity to connect with students who could go on to have rewarding careers with RNH.
“We are locals who grew up here, people who have relocated from across Australia, and internationally qualified professionals who have chosen to build their careers, and their lives, in our region,” said Ms O’Callaghan.
“Our local workforce is an incredibly important part of our team, and we’re hopeful that more young locals finishing school feel inspired to consider a career in local healthcare.”
