Our Warracknabeal and Hopetoun Auxiliaries were excited to receive a $500 cheque each recently, courtesy of the team at Swanbuild, who constructed our Hopetoun Duplexes.
Project Support Officer Bernie O’Connor explained that when a person recommends Swanbuild to an eventual buyer, that person is eligible to receive a gift card for $500. After investigating options for the build at Hopetoun and the subsequent recommendation of the company to the RNH executive which then engaged the company’s services, Bernie was entitled to receive the bonus.
Coincidentally, Bernie later engaged the company to build his own home in Warracknabeal and was eligible for a second $500 bonus.
Due to the nature of his work, Bernie said he didn’t feel comfortable accepting either bonus and, following discussion with Swanbuild who agreed to convert the cards into cheques, donating the entire amount to the Auxiliaries, who will use the funds toward ensuring our patients and residents are as comfortable as possible.
