Tuesday’s World Hand Hygiene Day was a great reminder that clean hands save lives.
RNH Infection Control and Prevention Nurse Consultant Chloe King says germs can spread easily in everyday places like homes, workplaces, and care settings.
“By washing your hands properly or using hand sanitiser, you can help protect yourself and the people around you from getting sick,” Chloe said.
Good hand hygiene is quick and simple.
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating, after using the toilet, and after coughing or sneezing.
“Small actions like this make a big difference in keeping our community safe,” Chloe said.
Remember to Wet Soap Rub Rinse Dry.
