This rewarding role focuses on delivering engaging and meaningful lifestyle and recreational programs for residents in aged care.
You will support residents’ emotional, spiritual and psychological wellbeing by creating activities that promote connection, purpose, and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver individual and group lifestyle activities.
- Support residents to maintain independence and social connection.
- Encourage participation in meaningful programs.
- Work collaboratively with the broader care team.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Certificate III in Aged Care (or similar), or currently working towards.
- Experience or strong interest in working with older people.
- Understanding of person-centred care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Current First Aid Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Current Police Check, Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Up to date flu vaccination.
Desirable:
- Experience in leisure and lifestyle or activities coordination.
- Experience working with people living with dementia.
- Bus licence.
- Knowledge of contemporary aged care practices.
