Two of our RNH team enjoyed success over the weekend when they competed in the Volunteer Fire Brigades Victoria 2026 State Urban Championships at Stawell.
You see, not only do our Health Promotion Coordinator Zoe Morris and Environmental Service Assistant Rohan Richards, shine in their day-to-day roles, but both are also Warracknabeal Fire Brigade volunteers and members of the Brigade’s senior running team.
Joining hundreds of fire brigade runners from across the state, and even as far afield as Western Australia, Zoe, who only joined the team this year, helped the team bring home two firsts in the Female Y4 event with a time of 9.18 seconds – a new record, and
the Female Hose, Hydrant and Pumper race with a time of 18.29.
If that wasn’t already impressive enough, Zoe also helped the team to a second overall in the Women’s competition, and was selected for the East v West competition, joining the western team, which included runners from Kerang and Bendigo, on the podium.
And, in the men’s, Rohan was equally impressive, helping the team to a second place in the A Class Ladder Fives competition and a third in the A Class Pumper and Ladder Fives.
Well done!
