The Hopetoun Happy Wanderers team of Kim Decker (pictured with RNH CEO Jenni Masters), Tracie Love and Hemangkumar Patel scored an impressive 85.5% to win the recent 5 Minute Wellbeing Challenge.
Aimed at encouraging us all to take time out for ourselves by dedicating at least 5 minutes towards wellbeing for as many days as possible, the challenge welcomed 19 participants across five teams.
Of the 430 wellbeing days completed, there were 45,719 minutes of wellbeing activities completed – or an average of 40 hours per person.
Easily winning the first-place honours, the Hopetoun Happy Wanderers scored over 30% higher than second placed Beulah on 52% (Susan Hunt, Jessica Grimble, Lisa Cook, Loreen Sherman, and Susan Forsyth), with the Warrack Wellbeing Wizards team of Mel Jefferies, Tifaniya Devasia, Alison Fernandez, Madalyn Alexander, and Bernie O’Connor securing third place on 51%.
OF course, Hopetoun wasn’t quite done yet with Kim also named winner of the Star Performer Award for being the person who made the most positive impact during the challenge.
Ian Clough won the Beat/Match Your Score award, Jessica Grimble secured the Self-Improvement award, and Katrina Fallon won the Fresh Start award. Each of the individual winners will receive a $50 voucher.
Presenting the trophy last week, CEO Jenni Masters said challenges like this are important.
“Often, we take a break without thinking about it; for example, leaving our desk to get a coffee. But it’s important we start taking breaks consciously also,” she said.
“As an organisation we really need to support this”.
