Dispelling the myth that country life can be “dull”, our Hopetoun residents have enjoyed a full diary of activities over the past few weeks.
Cheering on their Southern Mallee Thunder via the radio broadcasts, our residents also enjoyed getting out to see some old haunts when they toured Hopetoun Lake, Yaapeet, and Turkey Bottom Lane – where they got chatting to campers – before returning home via Rainbow Road.
Then it was on to the business of welcoming the always delightful Hopetoun P-12 students for a bite of morning tea before welcoming the equally delightful students from St Joseph’s for charades and balloon tennis.
And, capping off their busy few weeks, our residents have also enjoyed chatting with Monica and Michael who were undertaking work experience in the lifestyle/kitchen and maintenance teams, respectively.
