Age is merely a number

Proving that age is just a number this week was our beautiful Hopetoun resident Jane Bird.
Aged over 100, Jane was excited to help make the scones for the residents’ morning tea on Tuesday, regaling the team with tales of how she used to rub the butter into the flour when making scones for visitors to her home.
Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant Norma said that the smile doing this simple task put on Jane’s face, seeing the scones cooked and, of course, sampling the wares, was a treasured moment in all Norma’s years of working at the Hopetoun campus.
