Rural Northwest Health are required to follow the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria (PMCV) rules for graduate placements. For more information please visit https://allocations.pmcv.com.au/

All applications must be submitted by 31st July 2020

To apply for our program-

Registered Nurses
  • Australian Students – First round – please apply through PMCV (Computer Match) and list Rural Northwest Health in your preferences and send your applications to us directly by 31 July 2020.
  • International students – please send your applications directly to Rural Northwest Health stating clearly in your email message that you are apply for ‘Second round GNP position’ to applications@rnh.net.au by 31 July 2020. Your application will be held for consideration if we have not filled all our positions.

Applications must include-

  • A cover letter (maximum 1 page)
  • Current CV which includes clinical placement details
  • A certified academic transcript to date
  • Complete copies of your clinical placement reports to date
  • Two referees, including one from a direct clinical supervisor. Please ensure contact details are accurate.

Enrolled Nurses

Please apply directly to Rural Northwest Health stating clearly in your email message that you are apply for ‘Enrolled Nurse GNP’ to applications@rnh.net.au by 31 July 2020.

Meet & Greet Opportunities

As the closing date for the graduate year applications approaches, we’re inviting nursing students in their final year to take part in the opportunity to meet the team here at Rural Northwest Health and ask any questions they may have about applying for our program.

We will explore the many benefits of completing a rural graduate nursing program and answer any questions regarding the application process. Members from the Clinical Support Team will be present and are looking forward to meeting potential graduate nurses for Rural Northwest Graduate Program for Nursing 2021. We will also have some of our staff member who are current graduate nurses talk about their experiences so far and why they chose a rural graduate nursing program at Rural Northwest Health.

We will be holding 6 sessions. The sessions will be done via zoom.

Frequently Asked Questions

Referees

  • A clinical referee includes: Registered Nurse, NUM/ANUM, clinical educator & preceptor
  • Other referee includes: current past employer in any industry or if no previous work history a university lecture/tutor will be accepted.

Positions

  • All positions are conditional upon proof of successful completion of the course

Commencement

  • Most graduates start at beginning of February
  • Earlier start date can be arranged however graduate year will not formally commence until February
  • RNH will consider mid-year intake
