The primary purpose of the role is to lead learning and development strategies and outcomes for clinical care team members across Rural Northwest Health relevant to health service delivery needs.
The Clinical Educator is a Registered Nurse who functions as a member of the Rural Northwest Health People & Culture Team. This position is accountable for coordinating and delivering a range of clinical education and training activities.
The successful candidate will have:
- Registered Nurse with 2 – 3 years clinical education experience.
- Post graduate qualifications in adult education or clinical education.
- Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate student placements and graduate nurse programs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluation education sessions/workshops and teach a range of topics.
- Advanced communication and writing skills including writing student reports and education project reports.
- Advanced computer skills in use of Microsoft products (Outlook, Word and Excel) and other databases including Placeright and BPCLE.
- Ability to work autonomously with skills in encouraging the development of others.
Certificates, licenses and registrations:
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Current satisfactory Employee police check (dated within 12 months of commencement date).
- Current Employee Working with Children Check.
- Current driver’s license.
Other requirements:
- Must provide current evidence of immunisation history and/or serology results, including for
COVID-19.
