Cupcakes and coffee stole the show on Tuesday as Rural Northwest Health team members enjoyed International Nurses Day.
Celebrated around the world every May 12, the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, International Nurses Day is an opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication our nurses provide on a daily basis.
Rural Northwest Health CEO Kevin Mills explained “It’s a chance to celebrate with the team and reflect on the wonderful contribution our nurses make to our community.”
Team members at both Warracknabeal and Hopetoun campuses enjoyed freshly made cupcakes expressing thanks for the work our amazing nurses do, and of course you can’t have cupcakes without a coffee!
Messages of ‘thank you’ were posted by community and fellow team members on the RNH Facebook page to share with our nurses.
“Thank you to all the nursing team at RNH. Be proud of your career choice and how you make a difference every day to both young and old in our community. I hope you have enjoyed celebrating International Nurses Day and reflected on your dedication to nursing and providing high quality care.” Expressed Wendy James, RNH Executive Manager Clinical Services.
While International Nurses Day gives us a reason to celebrate, RNH appreciates the hard work all our dedicated team members do each and every day of the year to improve the health and wellbeing of our community.
