***IMPORTANT COVID UPDATE***
COVID in Warracknabeal
We have been advised today that one of the two Primary Close Contacts of the original two positive COVID-19 cases has tested positive, taking the total number of positive cases to three.
The Primary Close Contact has been quarantining strictly since being informed they were primary close contacts (PCCs). As all PCCs must do, they were tested after displaying
symptoms in their quarantine.
The Grampians Public Health Unit has advised that because the Primary Close Contact has been in isolation for their entire infectious period no exposure sites have been
generated by this new case. There are no additional Primary Close Contacts from this new positive case.
The two original positive cases from September 25th will come out of their quarantine later this week, having served their required period.
This news is a reminder that COVID is not far away from anyone in Victoria, and that we all need to adhere to the Chief Health Officer’s requirements for rural Victoria
